This Privacy Policy applies to Vardhman Electronics Private Limited ("Vardhman Electronics", "we", "us"), a retailer of consumer electronics and home appliances with stores across Delhi-NCR and an online storefront at vardhman.store. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), we act as the Data Fiduciary for personal data you share with us.

We collect personal data that you provide directly, and some data generated by your use of the site:

• Identity and contact data — name, phone number, email address, delivery address, submitted when you sign in, place an order, or contact support.
• Order and transaction data — items purchased, order value, delivery preferences, and warranty/service history. We do not store your card or bank details — payments are processed by our payment gateway partners directly.
• Communications — messages you send via the contact form, WhatsApp, phone, or in-store, including their content, so we can respond.
• Location data — the city, area, or PIN code you provide to the Store Finder to show nearby showrooms.
• Usage data — pages visited and general device/browser information, collected automatically to keep the site secure and working correctly.

We process personal data only for specified, lawful purposes and, where required under the DPDP Act, with your consent — given by using our forms, submitting your contact number for OTP sign-in, or contacting us directly. We use your data to:

• Fulfil orders, arrange delivery, and provide after-sales, warranty, and cancellation support.
• Respond to enquiries submitted via the Contact Us page, phone, or WhatsApp.
• Show you your nearest store locations via the Store Finder.
• Maintain account access via one-time-password sign-in.
• Meet legal, tax, and regulatory record-keeping obligations.
• Improve site security, diagnose faults, and prevent fraud or abuse.

You may withdraw consent at any time for purposes that rely on it (for example, marketing communications) by contacting us using the details in Section 9 — this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, or processing required to complete an order already placed.

We use two categories of storage:

• Essential, functional storage — for example, your browser may locally remember UI preferences (like a selected delivery PIN code) so the site behaves consistently between visits. This is not optional and does not require consent under Indian law.
• Analytics cookies (Microsoft Azure Application Insights) — used only after you accept the on-site cookie banner, to understand which pages are visited and to catch technical errors. This does not track you across other websites, is not used for advertising, and is not sold or shared with third parties.

You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which will show the consent banner again on your next visit.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, with:

• Logistics and delivery partners, to fulfil and deliver your order.
• Payment gateway providers, to process payments securely (they receive your payment details directly; we do not).
• Brand and manufacturer service partners, when required to honour a manufacturer warranty claim.
• Government or regulatory authorities, where disclosure is required by law.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by applicable tax, accounting, and consumer-protection laws, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including restricted access to customer data and secure transmission over HTTPS — to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed.
• Request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Request erasure of personal data that is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, subject to our legal retention obligations.
• Withdraw consent at any time, as described in Section 3.
• Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
• File a complaint with us in the first instance, and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with the DPDP Act.

Our services are intended for use by adults capable of entering into a contract under Indian law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental or guardian consent as required under the DPDP Act.
